Childrens music - get in the swing
Can you remember snatches and perhaps entire songs you learned as a child. Childrens music is an integral part of our culture. Childrens music is used to teach such things as the names and sounds farm animals make, counties, important dates, the alphabet or the names of important people. Those who write commercials certainly know the importance of a catchy tune.
The music industry is growing by leaps and bounds and childrens music is expanding with it. Childrens usic is constantly being introduced to your children at summer camps, churches, schools, daycares and on television. Performers know children respond to music and they direct their talents towards their young audience to expose them to a huge variety of genre and styles such as international music, rap, classical, pop, reggae, big bands, ragtime, jazz and funk.
What music would you like to introduce your child to? Music teachers and other parents may have some good suggestions for CDs and tapes, however you are no longer limited to tapes and CDs but have the whole Internet to explore. There are several sites where you can download music onto your own computer, print out the lyrics or order CDs and other resources. Childrens music is important to your child’s development. Help them learn an appreciation of many styles of childrens music and have a great time while you do.
