Children's Paradise At Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort

It's paradise for children at Sabah's premier five-star Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The 'Kids Club' launched in January 2004, is one of the largest Kids Club in Malaysia.

Guests entering the spacious Kids Club will immediately notice the beautifully hand-painted walls decorated to highlight the very best of Sabah from the jungle to the sea featuring aquatic and land animals found only in Sabah.

The Kids Club is divided into five main areas; the toddler section complete with padded walls and soft toys for the safety and comfort of younger guests; the registration area for children to register to become a member of the Kids Club; the creativity area for children to develop painting, crafting and other skills; the computer and TV room offering free computer usage and internet access and play stations for the kids; and finally the coffee area for parents to relax while their children are enjoying themselves.

The children's playground is conveniently located just opposite the Kids Club with easy access for children who want to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. It is equipped with swings, see-saws, slides, a sand pit and a selection of toy cars and bikes.

All kinds of games and activities are organised at the Kids Club, some involving various arts and crafts (colouring, plastercine modelling, origami and so on), others being outdoor activities such as shell collecting or crab catching on the beach. One of the favourite activities enjoyed by the children is fish feeding in the resort's three ponds filled with hundreds of colourful Koi.

The Kids Club is able to cater for children's meals and provides chargeable baby sitting services for children aged below four or for the hours after Kids Club's operation. Parents can drop their children off anytime of the day between the hours of 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and the resort’s professionally trained staff will supervise and keep the children amused while parents relax in the sun or explore the sights of Sabah.
