THQ Ships Rocket Power Extreme Arcade Games For PC

THQ Inc. and Nickelodeon today announced the release of Rocket Power Extreme Arcade Games for PC. Nickelodeon’s number four rated show among kids 2-11 is making its PC debut in time for the holidays. Rocket Power Extreme Arcade Games is now available at major retail outlets nationwide.

We are very pleased with the success of our Rocket Power releases for Game Boy Color and PlayStation, stated Alison Locke, Executive Vice President, North American Publishing, THQ. THQ is thrilled to extend the Rocket Power videogame franchise to PC for the holidays.

The Rocket Power television show combines extreme sports and extreme friendship to deliver programming that millions of kids 6-11 can relate to, stated Stephen Youngwood. The show lends itself so naturally to interactive adventures that kids will feel like they’re in Ocean Shores playing as their favorite characters from the show on their PC’s.

Players will join Otto, Twister, Reggie, and Sam in a collaboration of 4 different arcade action games in Rocket Power Extreme Arcade Games. Arcade action includes playing as Otto in a hockey shoot-off or as Sam riding on a pogo stick to collect robot parts. Players can also take on the role of Reggie protecting her elaborate sandcastles in a battle against Lars and Sheri or control Twister, the groups daredevil, as he skates down the boardwalk collecting and shooting rocketballs into trashcans for points. The game includes voiceovers by the Rocket Power television actors and music from the show to create an authentic game for kids of all ages.
