Insight Software Solutions, Inc. has released major updates of its popular Crossword Construction Kit and Word Search Construction Kit programs. The programs feature totally new user interfaces as well as some powerful new features and functions.

Crossword Construction Kit and Word Search Construction Kit produce professional looking puzzles in minutes. No tedious work by hand is required. Just enter the words and/or clues, select a puzzle shape and page layout, and press a button to generate the puzzle. Choose from the four best puzzle fits and the puzzle is now ready to export to a web page or print.

New to this version is a Puzzle Player that allows end-users to solve puzzles right on their own computer. Now with support for Java, users can create puzzles for their Web pages that visitors can actually solve online! These puzzles can be used on any computer that supports Java, like Mac OS X computers or systems running Linux. Optionally add timers, sound effects, etc. to enhance the experience.

Crossword Construction Kit and Word Search Construction Kit now include floating toolbars to streamline the puzzle interface. Copy a finished puzzle to the clipboard so you can easily paste it into another application. The ability to save puzzles not yet completed has been improved.

The original puzzle shape feature is still present. The software comes loaded with over 50 shapes such as a train, apple, flag and more. Create unlimited new shapes to add fun and variety to the puzzles.

The desktop publishing capabilities allow you to drag, drop, place and size the puzzle, graphic and text components anywhere on a page. You literally design what you want, how you want it and where you want it on the page.
