Online Monitoring Experts to Help Ensure Child-friendly Web Environment

NeuStar, Inc., today announced that it has selected Cyveillance, a leading provider of 100 percent Relevant eBusiness Intelligence, to monitor and review content for kids.us, the first-of-its-kind, child-friendly Internet space for kids under 13. kids.us will feature advanced technical, policy and operational mechanisms that will keep young people informed, entertained and protected online.

NeuStar and Cyveillance will use a combination of advanced technology and human intervention to monitor kids.us websites to ensure that content is suitable for children as they play, learn and surf on the Web. The rollout of kids.us will begin in June 2003 with a Sunrise period. NeuStar encourages all organizations wishing to protect their trademarks or service marks in the kids.us domain to visit www.kids.us to learn more about the Sunrise process. General registration in the kids.us domain is slated to begin in early September 2003, and will be open to all consumers, businesses, government agencies and organizations in the United States on a first come, first-served basis.
